Fave Beauty Buys: Nail polish

My favorite recent beauty discovery? Revlon Nail Polish. More specifically Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat (995) and Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat (950)!
Honestly these two are miracle workers. I know it takes a little while to do a base coat then two coats of polish and then a top coat. But it is so worth it because your manicure will stay chip-free for a week!!
This is defs my new fave (and cheap) beauty buy!!!

Fave Beauty Buys: Eyeliner

Way back in November I talked about my favourite hairspray.

Today I'm going to tell you about one of my favourite eyeliners. It took me a lot of eyeliners to find this one, but I love it!
I love everything about it! I love the color, I love how soft it goes on (and doesn't scratch your eyelid), I love that it comes with a little smudging tip on the other side! And I love the price! haha

It is the Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Blackened Sapphire!

It truly lives up to it "luxurious" name!
Like I said, I love everything about it. I love the sponge tip that lets you blend the color for a softer look. I love how soft and smooth the actual liner goes on, no pulling on your eye, which also allows it to go on smoother (aka a nice smooth line). And I love love love the color. I think that is my favourite part about it. I don't usually wear black eyeliner because it looks to harsh with my light skin. I also have very deep set eyes and black can sometimes make them look even smaller. So I love this dark blue color because it looks black, but doesn't have the harshness of a black eyeliner.

So if you are in the market for a new eyeliner, give this one a try. Sometimes it goes on sale for around $8.00! Yay! They also have a lot of other colors, so if Blackened Sapphire isn't your thing, try a different color!

Even Emma Stone is a fan, see.

Apartment Viewing!

Hello Hello!!

So I've been meaning to do this topic for a while now... but there were some issues that needed to get sorted out first. And now that they are all sorted out I am excited to finally do this.

This is mostly for my sister because she has been bugging me about this since September.

So you go, sis. An apartment tour!

Kitchen. Nothing too Exciting there, except my new Tassimo coffee machine!

View of the kitchen from the dining room

Hallway. Exciting stuff

Bathroom. I told you guys it gets pretty exciting around here.

Spare room... full of junk. Oops you guys weren't supposed to see that.

My room. Desk Area.

My Room. Bed area. Sorry this picture was taken shortly after moving in and I hadn't found a home for all of my stuff yet. And those are the only two areas of my room.

My Roommates room.

And there you have it. That is pretty much it. Not super exciting now you know. If you want to know even more, you can!! Our apartment was actually made over by Income Properties and you can watch the episode online right here. The link will take you to the site and then you have to do the rest of the searching. It is season 4, episode 4 called Monica and Raphael.

March Break

Did you miss me???

I know, its been a while. I know, I keep saying I will update more frequently. I know, that never happens. So no more promises. This should hopefully motivate me ha.

So what have I been up to, are you wondering?

Well let me tell you!

This week is my March Break (yes, March break, just like in elementary school). My school actually had their spring break in February (like the rest of the world) but because my program requires a placement in a school setting I get my break this week, just like all the 9-year-olds.

So what have I done with my break?

Forgotten to take pictures mostly (world's worst blogger right here). I did take a few and I will show them to you haha.

I went to visit my boyfriend for an extended weekend (just got back home today, around noon). His sister was also visiting this weekend. So we went out to eat and did some shopping and watched some TV and drank some wine and beer.

I had a really great weekend, but like I said didn't take many pictures. Below are a few random moments from the weekend that were captured. You can decide how relevant they are.

Don't know if you can see this but it says "zebra" and the pen was leopard print. I just thought it was funny. Honestly I wanted to steal this pen because I liked it so much.

This is a Cashew Chicken Stir Fry Recipe from a cookbook that Alex got for his birthday. This may have been the first recipe we ever made out of it. You can find the recipe here. It was pretty good, but the picture in the cookbook looks much better than mine.

I also bought some new boots!!! I love my old ones, but the lining in them has started to tear and this weekend my foot actually got stuck in it. Not good. I had a mini panic attack. Time for new ones. And new ones I found. Beautiful huh? I sure think so!! The best part? I had a gift card from Christmas that helped me out!!

I also downloaded a new app that lets me do this:
So I played around with that a little bit. Haha enjoy the lame pictures of us.

Back in January my school had this Quit Smoking Campaign and my friend convinced me to join. At first I thought this is stupid because I don't smoke, but they had a category for non-smokers and the goal was to just stay a non-smoker. Well, that I did! And last night I got an email saying I had won a water bottle.

And last but defs not least! On Monday, one of my best friends (whose birthday I celebrated back in Jan in my mom's kitchen) was in town for a couple days and we had supper together and enjoyed this delish sparkling red wine!!! And each others company of course.

And there you have it. That is what I have been up to.

Oh, and a FAILED attempt at banana bread. I just can't seen to get it right. Crystal, I think I need your recipe (and any type ok baking tips you may have).

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
